March will witness the IFI start a month long weekly course into the history of animation to be given by the NCAD's James Armstrong called Drawing Pictures.

Eirtakon and Nom-Con are delighted to announce a one-day anime event in Dublin, with date, venue and price confirmed.

Anime Dublin


Created by Nom-Con and Eirtakon, the two largest anime conventions in Ireland, Anime Dublin is a special one day event taking place this April 14th 2012 A.D.

Doors will open at 10.30am and events will go on into the night.

The Coca-Cola Cinemagic International in association with We Love Anime will be showing several screenings in the ODEON, Belfast.

4th Japanese Film Festival

The 4th Japanese Film Festival runs from November 6th till the 20th. The event is organized by the Embassy of Japan, access>CINEMA and the Ireland Japan Association.

GTI Manga Drawing Introduction Class

The Galway Technical Institute are running a introduction class to manga drawing that is running from Wednesday September 28th.

The class is being run by John Jennings and the class will run for 10 weeks with a registration cost of €120.

University College Cork has created the Irish Institute for Japanese Studies (IIJS) which will host a number of cultural events such as presentations of Japanese film, music, theatre, and other arts.
